With the version of wine in the repo (0.9.38 ), Joost will run, although it does appear to be slower (than previous versions of wine). Does this happen every time Joost is opened? If not it might just be Joost updating Channel Info or adding new channels to your client. Or it might be that the severs are being updated and some are down at the moment. So it takes longer to get an answer that your Joost has the correct security key. Well I compiled the new version of WINE but it comes up with these errors. wine: creating configuration directory /home/freeforall/.wine... err:module:import_dll Library wined3d.dll (which is needed by L"c:\\windows\\system32\\d3d8.dll") not found err:module:import_dll Library wined3d.dll (which is needed by L"c:\\windows\\system32\\d3d9.dll") not found wine: /home/freeforall/.wine created successfully. What did I do wrong? Update Ok I remove wine and its directories. Then I edited my sources.lst and # out everything but the deb-src feisty main Line and saved my sources.lst Then I recompiled wine and now its working. It doesnt for me I just opened Joost with my shortcut on the desktop and took like 10 secs to load. Also dont forget to go to My Joost --> Widget Menu --> Advanced Settings and uncheck Leave on standby and click save settings Now exit Joost by Clicking Quit Joost or the Power Button.
